“Knowledge is a dangerous addiction. First, it lures you in with the promise of enlightenment. Then, it isolates you—separating you from the trivialities of human connection, small talk, and whatever people call “normal life.” It’s a slippery slope, and here I am, sliding headfirst into the abyss.”
This blog exists because Facebook & Instagram are chaotic landfill of distractions, and discussing philosophy in person requires more patience and skills than I currently possess. The trade-off is clear—either I spend my time reading, thinking, and experimenting with life (and obviously killing myself with it), or I waste it explaining metaphysics to someone who believes ‘God has a plan’. I chose the former.
Years ago, I dabbled in monkhood—yes, almost robes and all—seeking truth in the grand labyrinth of Eastern philosophy. And then, at 21, I had an epiphany: either the world was wrong, or these philosophies were missing a crucial puzzle piece. So, I sought out Western philosophy, read histories, experimented with meditation, flirted with esoteric rituals, and even tested a few chants (some of which, by the way, can wreck your life in seven days—interested?).
Along the way, I built companies, dismantled illusions, and realized people are hilarious creatures—chasing love, wealth, and happiness. I was once punished at age seven for sympathizing with aliens—an early sign that my ideas and conventional wisdom were never meant to get along.
At some point, I landed in Edinburgh—where the howling wind, eternal gloom, and biting cold suited my nocturnal soul. But life is fluid, and I’ve been drifting with the current ever since. I appreciate art (though I paradoxically starve myself of it), fine food and wine, and good conversation—though only the kind that challenges, provokes, and dismantles old paradigms.
And then there’s poetry—my mistress, while philosophy remains my lawfully wedded (and occasionally neglected) spouse. So, if you’re here for a polite exchange of ideas—run. But if you’re ready to question everything, embrace paradoxes, and let go of your precious prejudices, welcome aboard. We might argue, you might curse me, you might even abandon this blog in frustration and obviously you are right—but if you stay, we just might start seeing the world differently.
Drop me an email if you have something worth discussing. I generally don’t reply. If your thoughts are intriguing enough, we’ll meet for coffee, wine, or whatever existential beverage suits the occasion. But if you’re here to convince me of your unshakable beliefs, spare us both the headache.
Let’s begin…
PS: As I build my new blog, remnants of the old still linger. In time, the past will fade, and the new will take its place.
I am impressed with this site, real I am a fan.
Thanks for the appreciation
thanks
Hey! I really liked your blog . Actually I too had some of Meer’s poetry but couldn’t get to read it properly. Can you guide me from where to read and get his works? Thanks a lot
Hi,
Thanks for your comment.Firstly which language do you want to find Meer’s work?Hindi,English or Urdu?furthermore if you happen to be around Delhi,India. You can find a lot of good material on Meer’s poetry around the area of Jama Masjid. There are several publishers in that area who publish Islamic books and you can find really nice bound volumes from them. Currently I am not with my books so I can not tell the exact publisher for reference. However you may get a book on Meer from:

And please if are publishing poetry, then can you give explanations and sort of critical analysis along with it because I am a beginner and I would appreciate if i could really get to understand it better.
thanks…well i live in chandigarh actually. and I’ll prefer hindi though urdu may also work well. But if you are posting poetry, then please include explanations and critical analysis along with it as I am a beginner and it will really help me understand better
I hope to give critical reviews, but I just dont judge the poetry. The way I read it is just to create a whole scene and feel every word.
